About this camp

Students ages 10-14 at Camp Tech Revolution's Robotics with VEX IQ program engage in next-level robotics, building complex VEX IQ robots with multiple motors, advanced gears, pulley systems, and high-tech sensors. The curriculum challenges campers to utilize strong building skills and develop their acuity for mechanics, engineering, and logical thinking. Participants learn important concepts through hands-on experience, including force and motion, design and problem-solving, mechanical advantage, gear ratios, circumference and arcs, and pulley systems. They also gain experience with both vertical programming languages similar to Scratch and Python or C++, which are used by middle school, high school, and college robotics teams. The camp fosters teamwork through various projects and culminates in a thrilling, week-long tournament where students design, build, and program their own competitive 'BattleBot'.
