In the Club SciKidz Charlotte South - Robotics: LEGO® & VEX BattleBots Unleashed! camp, young innovators design, build, and program their own competitive 'BattleBots' using both LEGO® and VEX Robotics systems. Campers delve into the fundamentals of engineering, circuitry, and real-world coding with VEXcode Python. Through hands-on activities and engaging challenges, participants develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The week culminates in a thrilling tournament where students test their creations and strategies. This immersive experience is designed to ignite a passion for STEM and provide lasting technical skills.
A typical day includes general check-in, an all-camp science demonstration, multiple S.T.E.A.M rotations, snack breaks, lunch/recess, and an outdoor component with team and skill-building activities.
