This day camp offers middle school students an exciting adventure into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications, particularly in digital game design. The curriculum focuses on different AI concepts each day, boosting confidence in working with this powerful technology. Students will engage in designing and testing educational AI games, building their coding, creativity, and collaboration skills. The camp culminates in a showcase event where participants present their projects to peers, teachers, family, and friends.
Activities may include exploring perception, representation and reasoning, machine learning, natural interaction, and AI ethics. Students will have the opportunity to design and build their own AI-powered projects, such as smart games, recognition tools, or digital assistants, using kid-friendly coding and visual tools. Campers arrive between 8:30-8:45 a.m., tackle new engineering challenges in small teams, and present their designs before pickup between 3:30-3:45 p.m.
